Dr JP Steyn

Dr J P Steyn obtained his B.Ch.D (Baccalaureus Chirurgiae Dental), otherwise known as DDS Doctor of Dental Surgery in countries such as the USA degree from the University of Pretoria in 1976. From 1977 to 1979 he worked as a general practitioner. In 1980 he began studies at the Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry (Boston University), where he obtained a Master of Science in Prosthodontics in 1982. From 1983 to 1986 Dr Steyn was involved in post-graduate teaching at the University of Stellenbosch as well as running a part-time private practice in Cape Town. Since then he has ran full time private prosthodontics practices in both Cape Town and Somerset West. His is a specialist private practice restricted to prosthodontics and Implant dentistry. He is involved with the surgical, as well as the restorative and technical aspects of implant dentistry. He currently lectures on cosmetic and implant dentistry, both in South Africa and internationally by invitation.
